Adams 14 Community Advocating for Bilingual Education and Equity

An education and advocacy site for parents and families

ACABE’s vision is to empower parents and the Commerce City community to advocate for effective and inclusive bilingual education in the Adams 14 school district. By advancing high quality dual language education, students will develop skills in 3 areas that are considered the pillars of dual language education: biliteracy, high academic achievement, and cross-cultural competence (https://duallanguageschools.org/post/3-pillars-dual-language?page=0%2C1 ). These competencies are key for full participation in today’s global society.

ACABE is a community initiative that provides resources for parents and families advocating for bilingual education and equity in Commerce City, CO. ACABE gathers up-to-date publicly available information about actions taken by the Adams 14 district that directly impact parent choice, communication, and the educational opportunities for students in the district. It offers free resources and advice to parents and community members to strengthen their advocacy efforts in defense of their rights.
